Amy Monson was born and raised in a small farming community in rural Minnesota. In July of 1997, she joined the MN Army National Guard.
Amy ended up with a 20-year career and three overseas deployments: Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Believe it or not, Afghanistan was where she found her interest in agriculture and decided to go back to school in order to learn about our food systems from crops to animals.
Amy received her BS in General Agriculture with a minor in AG Education from North Dakota State University in 2015. She really enjoyed school, so she continued with Graduate School. She graduated in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Education. Amy then began her teaching career as an Agriculture teacher in the public education system. In June of 2018, Amy retired from the MN Army National Guard after 20+ years of service.
Amy and her husband, Paul, were blessed with 3 kids in December of 2014, after fostering for a year they were able to adopt all three kids! With kids that were adopted from the foster care system, they all came with their own special needs and circumstances.
Amy started researching the Keto lifestyle for herself and found the great benefits it could offer her kids. Amy is very passionate about the Keto lifestyle, which is why she became a Certified Ketogenic Living Coach so she could help others and their families achieve their goals using this lifestyle.
